Chicken Sandwich and French Fries
What to do when it’s cold and dark outside—pretend it’s summer! Here’s a chicken sandwich that will make it feel like it’s sunny and warm out! Paired with homemade French fries and a glass of iced tea, you’ll forget it’s February!
Chicken Sandwich and French Fries
Serves 4
Ingredients
4 rolls
4 thin sliced chicken breast
2-3 medium Yukon Gold potatoes
Garlic salt and pepper to taste
Lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degress.
2. Wash and dry potatoes. Slice into French fries. Spray with olive oil and toss with garlic salt and pepper. Put on a cookie sheet and cook for 30 minutes, or until crispy, tossing fries half way through.
3. Ten minutes before French fries are done, season chicken with garlic salt and pepper. Put in a sauté pan over medium heat and cook until no longer pink (about 4-5 minutes of each side).
4. I popped the buns in the toaster, but the option is yours. Place a chicken breast on the bottom bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Spread some mayo on the top bun and lay it on the sandwich. Serve up the French fries on the side and enjoy!
Suggestion
If you’re in the mood for something a little spicy, try making Sriracha mayo—just mix a few drops into the mayo and enjoy!
